The house of S.T. Dupont
S.T. Dupont was founded in Paris in 1872 by Simon Tissot-Dupont. Its pieces have been made in the workshops of Faverges, in the French Alps, since 1924. The house made its first series-produced lighter in 1941 and is known for lacquer applied by hand to metal.
Choosing a flame
- Soft flame: a gentle yellow flame, like a classic lighter.
- Torch or jet flame: a focused, wind-resistant flame that many cigar smokers prefer, because it lights the foot of a cigar evenly. See torch flame lighters.
- Dual flame: switches between a soft flame and a torch. See dual flame lighters.
Lighter models we carry
Our range includes Ligne 2, Le Grand, Slim 7, Maxijet, Minijet, Defi, Biggy, Slimmy and Initial lighters, along with S.T. Dupont cigar cases, cutters and ashtrays. Models differ in size, flame type and finish, so it helps to hold a few in store before choosing.
Collaboration collections
S.T. Dupont works with cigar makers and other brands on limited collections. We carry pieces made with Cohiba, Montecristo, Partagás, Romeo y Julieta, Trinidad, Padrón and Arturo Fuente OpusX, as well as Casablanca, Fender, Game of Thrones and 24h Le Mans.
Also from Paris: Elie Bleu
We also carry Elie Bleu, the Paris house founded in 1976 and known for marquetry humidors. We stock its humidors, cigar cutters and J12 and J15 pocket lighters.
